Kamau and his calf the whole night
Thugs broke into Kamau’s home in Kigoro, beat him up, striped him naked (uchi) n tied him on a tree in his compound.
Next morning neigbours untied him. He immediately ran after a calf n beat it mercilessly although with an awkward smile, n when they asked why, he said in kikuyu, “Ndohwo haha ni akora gasheji gaka kareciririe ndi nyina. Kanyongete atia utuku mugima!” (I was tied here by the robbers but this stupid calf confused me with its mother, imagine how it sucked me the whole night)
